Class Description:

As a new or prospective manager, your first ride is bound to be a bit shaky when the training wheels come off. This class will help you find your balance. First up, the basics. This class will give you a better understanding of the expectations that come with being a manager and help you to map out the terrain of your new role.

Educator Bio:

Kate Edwards has 28 years of experience in restaurants and hospitality, including time at some of the most celebrated restaurants in New York City, such as Balthazar and Per Se. Kate built her consulting business in 2007 and recently published her first book, Hello! And Every Little Thing That Matters.


Anthony Rudolf has nearly 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including running operations for Chef Thomas Keller and Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten in New York. After realizing his true mission was not to serve consumers, but to nurture and guide people in the industry along their path of living their dreams, Rudolf left the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group to found Journee, a community that empowers and educates restaurant professionals.
